Due to the concerns raised in the US over the safety of baby slings and the recent announcement by Infantino to recall its slings, we have decided to remove from sale all bag-style slings sold at Mothercare while we review the situation.
However, for those who already have them as their preferred choice, there are four key things parents should be aware of when using bag-style slings:
· Ensure baby is correctly positioned with his/her face pointing upwards
· Baby’s face should be visible at all times and not obstructed by body or by fabric
· Regularly check baby remains in the correct position
· Be particularly vigilant when using a sling with a very young or premature baby, babies with breathing issues or a heavy cold.
